SANDRA PRESTON

Sandra’s work is inspired by the mysterious beauty and force of nature, especially flowers, trees, the night sky and the desert. The Asian/Southwestern-fusion theme that runs through the work is attributed to the artists birth in Honolulu into a military family, spending part of her childhood growing up in Japan and the Philippines, and living in the Southwest for the past five decades.  Sandra studied art early in life at The University of Oklahoma and later at The University of Texas at Austin, and in Montreal, Canada. Her current work centers on mixed media collage on panel. Her studio is located in her Austin, Texas home.
